Prepare your applications for university and finish strong
In order to receive the International Baccalaureate® Diploma, you will need to complete the three “core” components in addition to taking external exams in their subjects. At the end of the exam period, you can receive a total score of 45 points.
In the US, you have the option of the more flexible International Baccalaureate® Certificate program, which allows you to take IB exams only in your strongest areas. In this program, the “core” is not required, which means you have more time to focus on co-curricular activities or TOEFL/IELTS or SAT/ACT preparation.
*All EF Academy students who successfully complete their high school studies at our US campuses will automatically be awarded a nationally recognized US high school diploma in addition to their IB qualification.
“My classes are very student-centered and I usually use a ‘Socratic method’ or the ‘Harkness method,’ which is really based on the students’ discussions and inquiries. It’s really a back and forth between them and I facilitate.”Read More Jenna Marcus EF Academy New York
